Galaxy A15 5G One UI 7 update is now rolling out in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Owners in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the Philippines can install the new firmware version A156EDXU5CYE9.

Which phones are getting the update?

The Android 15 update is now available for:

  • Galaxy A15 5G in multiple countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the Philippines
  • Galaxy A15 4G in Latin American markets

s will receive firmware version A156EDXU5CYE9 for the 5G model and A155MUBU6CYE3 for the 4G variant.

Samsung has expanded One UI 7 to more regions after rolling it out to select markets in April. The Galaxy A15 5G update includes a new interface with playful animations and refreshed app icons. It also adds vertical scrolling in the app drawer and a revised battery icon in the status bar. s will notice a new Now Bar chip that displays ongoing activities like navigation or media playback on the lock screen and at the top of notifications.

The update brings Android 15 features and a security patch

  • May 2025 security patch for protection against vulnerabilities

How to install the update

To install the new software, open Settings, then tap Software update and select and install.

The update file is approximately 3GB and will take several minutes to and install. Your phone will restart automatically when complete.

Samsung plans to provide three more major Android updates for the Galaxy A15 series after this One UI 7 release, ensuring the phone stays current with new features and security improvements.

The rollout began in late May 2025 and continues through early June as Samsung expands availability to more regions worldwide.
